Description: Mouse beta-2 adrenergic receptor (ADRB2) ELISA kit (0.156-10 ng/mL, 0.094 ng/mL) is a ready-to-use ELISA kit for analyzing mouse ADRB2 levels with a detection range of 0.156-10 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.094 ng/mL.

Assay Principle: The kit is based on sandwich ELISA. The anti-mouse ADRB2 antibody is pre-coated on a 96-well plate. A biotin-conjugated anti-mouse ADRB2 antibody is used as the detection antibody. Standards, test samples, and biotin-conjugated detection antibody are subsequently added to the wells and washed with buffer. HRP-streptavidin is added, and the unbound conjugate is washed away with washing solution. TMB substrate is used to observe the HRP enzymatic reaction. TMB produces a blue product catalyzed by HRP, which turns yellow upon addition of an acidic termination solution. The density of yellow color is proportional to the amount of mouse ADRB2 sample captured in the plate. The concentration of mouse ADRB2 is calculated by reading the absorbance at 450 nm with a microplate reader.

Background: ADRB2, the β-adrenergic receptor, regulates the metabolism and phenotype of adipose and skeletal muscle tissues, and its polymorphisms are associated with body composition and obesity. Based on its role in obesity, targeting ADRB2 is an attractive target in anti-obesity drug development.
