Product Overview
Description:
Mouse apolipoprotein C-III (apo-CIII) ELISA kit (2.5-80 mg/dL) is an ELISA-based in vitro research tool designed specifically for the quantitative detection of apo-CIII in mouse with a range of 2.5-80 mg/dL and a specificity of 0.5 mg/dL.
Assay Principle:
The wells are coated with purified mouse Apo-CIII antibody to make solid phase antibody, then Apo-CIII and HRP-labeled Apo-CIII antibody are added to the wells, so that the reactants became antibody-antigen-antibody-enzyme complex, and the reaction is completely washed. After complete washing, the TMB substrate solution is added. The TMB substrate becomes blue under the catalysis of the HRP enzyme. Sulfuric acid solution is added to terminate the reaction, and the color change is measured spectrophotometrically at 450 nm. The OD of the sample is then compared to a standard curve to determine the concentration of Apo-CIII in the sample.
Background:
Apolipoprotein C-III is secreted by the liver and small intestine. It is a very low-density lipoprotein (VLDL) protein that inhibits lipoprotein lipase and hepatic lipase. Studies have found that it plays a key role in the metabolism of triglyceride-rich lipoproteins (TRLs).
Synonyms:
ApoC-III ; ApoCIII; Apo C-III; Apo C III; Apolipoprotein CIII; APOC3
Applications:
Mouse apolipoprotein C-III (apo-CIII) ELISA kit (2.5-80 mg/dL) is used to quantify apo-CIII in serum, plasma, tissue homogenate, feces, urine, and body fluid samples of mice, providing data to support a wide range of studies.
