Product Overview
Description:
Mouse acetyl-CoA carboxylase (ACAC) ELISA kit is a ready-to-use ELISA kit for analyzing mouse ACAC levels with a detection range of 0.312-20 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.06 ng/mL. It is an effective dynamic research tool.
Assay Principle:
The double sandwich ELISA technique is used in this experiment. The pre-coated antibody is a mouse ABP monoclonal antibody, and the detection antibody is a biotin-labeled polyclonal antibody. Samples and biotin-labeled antibodies are added to the ELISA plate wells and rinsed with PBS or TBS. Avidin-peroxidase conjugate is then sequentially added to the ELISA wells; the reactants are thoroughly rinsed with PBS or TBS and then colored with TMB substrate. TMB turns blue when catalyzed by peroxidase, and finally turns yellow in the presence of acid. The shade of color is positively correlated with the detection factor in the sample.
Background:
ACAC (also known as ACC) is the enzyme that catalyzes the carboxylation of acetyl coenzyme A to produce malonyl coenzyme A, which is involved in fatty acid biosynthesis and β-oxidation. It is a potential target for the treatment of obesity and related diseases.
Synonyms:
ACC; EC 6.4.1.2
