Description: Monkey estrogen receptor (ER) ELISA kit (250-5000 pg/mL) is an ELISA-based in vitro research tool designed specifically for the quantitative detection of ER in monkey with a range of 250-5000 pg/mL and a specificity of 1.0 pg/mL.

Assay Principle: The microtiter plate is pre-coated with a monoclonal antibody specific for ER. Standards or samples are then added to the wells of the microtiter plate, and if ER is present, the ER will bind to the antibody-coated wells. To quantify the amount of ER in the sample, a standard preparation of horseradish peroxidase (HRP)-conjugated polyclonal antibody is added to each well to “clamp” the ER immobilized on the microtiter plate. The microtiter plate is incubated, and then the wells are thoroughly washed to remove all unbound components. A substrate solution is then added to each well. The enzyme (HRP) and substrate react during a brief incubation period. Only wells containing antibodies conjugated to ER and enzyme will show a color change. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of sulfuric acid solution, and the color change is measured spectrophotometrically at 450 nm. A standard curve is plotted between color intensity (O.D.) and standard concentration. The concentration of ER in each sample is derived from this standard curve.
