Description: Monkey adiponectin (ADP) ELISA kit (0.45-30 ng/mL) is a ready-to-use ELISA kit for analyzing monkey ADP levels with a detection range of 0.45-30 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.11 ng/mL. This kit has high sensitivity and excellent specificity.

Assay Principle: The assay is performed using a quantitative sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique. An antibody specific for ADP is pre-coated on the microtiter plate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells, and the immobilized antibody binds to any ADP in the wells. After removing unbound material, a biotin-conjugated antibody specific for the ADP is added to the wells. After washing, avidin-conjugated HRP is added to the wells. After washing to remove unbound avidin-enzyme reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells, and the color develops in proportion to the amount of ADP bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped, and the intensity of the color is measured.

Background: ADP is an important adipokine involved in the regulation of fat metabolism and insulin sensitivity, exhibiting antidiabetic, anti-atherosclerotic, and anti-inflammatory properties. It increases glucose utilization and fatty acid burning, stimulates AMPK phosphorylation and activation in liver and skeletal muscle, and may play a role in cell growth, angiogenesis, and tissue remodeling.
