Product Overview
Description:
Human very low-density lipoprotein receptor (VLDLR) ELISA kit (2.5-50 ng/mL) is an ELISA-based in vitro research tool designed specifically for the quantitative detection of VLDLR in human samples with a range of 2.5-50 ng/mL and a minimum detectable dose (sensitivity) of 0.1 ng/mL. The kit is highly sensitive and easy to use.
Assay Principle:
This immunoenzymatic assay for the quantitative measurement of VLDLR utilizes a monoclonal anti-VLDLR antibody and a VLDLR-HRP conjugate. Samples and buffer are incubated with the VLDLR-HRP conjugate in a pre-coated plate for one hour. Following incubation, the wells are washed five times. An HRP enzyme substrate is then added, forming a blue product that turns yellow after the reaction is halted with the stop solution. The color intensity is measured at 450 nm. Because the VLDLR in the sample competes with the VLDLR-HRP conjugate for a finite number of antibody sites, the signal intensity is inversely proportional to the VLDLR concentration. Standards of known concentrations are run concurrently to generate a standard curve for interpolation.
Background:
VLDLR, situated at chromosomal location 9p24, is a multifunctional transmembrane receptor essential for the clathrin-mediated endocytosis of VLDL and the orchestration of Reelin-driven signaling pathways during nervous system development. While its genetic defects are primarily linked to CMARQ1, characterized by cerebellar hypoplasia and developmental delays, its metabolic role is critical for lipid transport and systemic cholesterol homeostasis.
Synonyms:
VLDL-R
Applications:
Human very low-density lipoprotein receptor (VLDLR) ELISA kit (2.5-50 ng/mL) is used to quantify VLDLR in serum, plasma, cell culture supernatants, body fluid, tissue homogenate of human, providing data to support research in a wide range of areas, including signal transduction, metabolic pathway, endocrinology, cardiovascular biology, hepatology, obesity, and others.
