Product Overview
Description:
Human phosphofurin acidic cluster sorting protein 1 (PACS1) ELISA kit-Quantitative sandwich is an ELISA-based in vitro research tool designed specifically for the quantitative detection of PACS1 in human samples with a range of 1.56-100 ng/mL and a minimum detectable dose (sensitivity) of 1 ng/mL. The kit is highly sensitive and easy to use.
Assay Principle:
This assay utilizes a two-site sandwich ELISA to quantify PACS1 in samples. A capture antibody specific for PACS1 has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells, ensuring any PACS1 present is bound by the immobilized antibody. Following the removal of unbound substances, a biotin-conjugated detection antibody specific for PACS1 is introduced. After washing, streptavidin-conjugated HRP is added. Following a final wash to remove unbound reagents, a substrate solution is added, and color develops in direct proportion to the amount of PACS1 bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped, and the intensity is measured.
Background:
PACS1 is a cytoplasmic sorting protein responsible for directing specific transmembrane proteins and receptors from the trans-Golgi network (TGN) or endosomes to their correct cellular destinations. PACS1 participates in sorting the transport of metabolism-related transporters such as GLUT4 and growth factor receptors. Dysfunction of PACS1 is associated with metabolic abnormalities and certain pathological states.
