Product Overview
Description:
Human neuropeptide Y receptor Y1 (NPY1R) ELISA kit (0.312-20 ng/mL) is an ELISA-based in vitro research tool designed specifically for the quantitative detection of NPY1R in human samples with a range of 0.312-20 ng/mL and a minimum detectable dose (sensitivity) of 0.122 ng/mL. The kit is highly sensitive and easy to use.
Assay Principle:
The microplate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to NLRP7. Standards or samples are introduced into the designated microplate wells along with a biotin-conjugated detection antibody specific to NLRP7. Subsequently, avidin conjugated to HRP is added to each well and incubated to form an immune complex. Following the addition of TMB substrate solution, color development occurs exclusively in wells containing the NLRP7-biotin-avidin sandwich. The enzymatic reaction is terminated by the addition of a sulphuric acid solution, and the color change is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm ± 10 nm. The concentration of NLRP7 in the samples is then determined by comparing the optical density (O.D.) of the samples to the standard curve.
Background:
NPY1R is a G protein-coupled receptor that binds to neuropeptide Y (NPY) and peptide YY (PYY), both of which are key signaling molecules. This text emphasizes its specific binding preference for these peptides. NPY1R resides on the cell membrane and functions as part of signaling pathways by inhibiting adenylate cyclase activity. Its biological functions encompass regulation of feeding behavior, blood pressure control, and neuropeptide signaling. NPY1R plays a role in obesity through its regulation of appetite and energy balance within the central nervous system.
Synonyms:
NPYR; NPYY1
