Product Overview
Description:
Human low-molecular-weight heparin (LMWH) ELISA kit-Quantitative sandwich is an ELISA-based in vitro research tool designed specifically for the quantitative detection of LMWH in human samples with a range of 1.56-100 ng/mL and a minimum detectable dose (sensitivity) of 0.5 ng/mL. The kit is highly sensitive and easy to use.
Assay Principle:
This kit employs a typical double-antibody sandwich ELISA technique. The microplate is pre-sensitized with a human LMWH monoclonal antibody, while a biotin-labeled polyclonal antibody serves as the detection agent. Samples and the biotinylated antibody are introduced into the wells and later cleared with a PBS or TBS wash. Subsequently, avidin-peroxidase conjugates are added to the wells. After the reactants have been thoroughly washed out with PBS or TBS, a TMB substrate is used for visualization. TMB shifts to blue through peroxidase catalysis and eventually turns yellow upon the addition of acid. The depth of the color development is positively correlated with the concentration of the target factors present in the specimens.
Background:
Low molecular weight heparin (LMWH) is a series of drugs with reduced molecular weight obtained by chemically or enzymatically depolymerizing standard heparin. Its core function is as an anticoagulant, primarily preventing deep vein thrombosis and pulmonary embolism by enhancing the inhibitory effect of antithrombin (AT) on coagulation factor Xa. Obesity is frequently associated with increased coagulation activity and systemic low-grade inflammation, significantly elevating the risk of venous thromboembolism (VTE) and cardiovascular disease. Several studies have explored the potential benefits of LMWH in improving these conditions and its anti-inflammatory properties.
Synonyms:
Fractionated heparin
