Product Overview
Description:
Human estrogen receptor (ER) ELISA kit (0.625-40 ng/mL) is an ELISA-based in vitro research tool designed specifically for the quantitative detection of ER in human with a range of 0.625-40 ng/mL and a specificity of up to 0.06 ng/mL.
Assay Principle:
The pre-coated antibody is a human ER monoclonal antibody, and the detection antibody is a biotin-labeled polyclonal antibody. The samples and biotin-labeled antibodies are added to the ELISA plate wells and rinsed with PBS or TBS. Avidin-peroxidase conjugate is then sequentially added to the ELISA wells. The reactants are thoroughly rinsed with PBS or TBS and then colored with TMB substrate. TMB turns blue when catalyzed by peroxidase, and finally turns yellow in the presence of acid. The shade of color is positively correlated with the detection factor in the sample.
Background:
ER is a ligand-activated transcription factor composed of several domains important for hormone binding, DNA binding, and activation of transcription. Estrogens and their receptors play roles in sexual development, reproductive functions, bone, and other tissues. ERs are associated with various pathological processes.
Synonyms:
Estradiol receptor; Oestrogen receptor; Receptors, Estrogen
Applications:
Human estrogen receptor (ER) ELISA kit (0.625-40 ng/mL) is used to quantify ER in human serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, and tissue samples of human, providing data to support a wide range of studies.
