Product Overview
Description:
Human ectonucleotide pyrophosphatase/phosphodiesterase-1 (ENPP1) ELISA kit (78-5000 pg/mL) is an ELISA-based in vitro research tool designed specifically for the quantitative detection of ENPP1 in human with a range of 78-5000 pg/mL and a specificity of <23 pg/mL.
Assay Principle:
The microtiter plate provided in this kit is pre-coated with an antibody specific for the target antigen. Standards or samples with biotin-conjugated antibody preparation specific to the target antigen are then added to the appropriate wells of the microtiter plate. Horseradish peroxidase (HRP)-conjugated avidin is then added to each well of the microtiter plate and incubated. TMB substrate solution is then added to each well. Only wells containing the target antigen, biotin-conjugated antibody, and enzyme-conjugated avidin will show a color change. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of sulfuric acid solution, and the color change is measured spectrophotometrically at 450 nm ± 2 nm. The concentration of the target antigen in the sample is then determined by comparing the OD of the sample to the standard curve.
Background:
ENPP1 is a member of the ENPP family, which has broad specificity and cleaves various substrates. It is primarily involved in ATP hydrolysis at the plasma membrane, playing a role in regulating pyrophosphate levels, bone mineralization, and soft tissue calcification.
Synonyms:
Membrane component chromosome 6 surface marker 1; Alkaline phosphodiesterase I; Plasma-cell membrane glycoprotein PC-1; M6S1; NPP1; NPPS; PC-1; PCA1; PDNP1
Applications:
Human ectonucleotide pyrophosphatase/phosphodiesterase-1 (ENPP1) ELISA kit (78-5000 pg/mL) is used to quantify ENPP1 in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates, and other biological fluid samples of human, providing data to support a wide range of studies.
