Product Overview
Description:
Human CYP21A2 ELISA kit is an ELISA-based in vitro research tool designed specifically for the quantitative detection of CYP21A2 in human with a range of 20-0.312 ng/mL and a specificity of 0.06 ng/mL.
Assay Principle:
The pre-coated antibody is a monoclonal antibody against Human CYP21A2, and the detection antibody is a biotin-labeled polyclonal antibody. The samples and biotin-labeled antibodies are added to the ELISA plate wells and rinsed with PBS or TBS. Avidin-peroxidase conjugate is then sequentially added to the ELISA wells; the reactants are thoroughly rinsed with PBS or TBS and then colored with TMB substrate. TMB turns blue when catalyzed by the peroxidase enzyme, and finally turns yellow in the presence of acid. The shade of color is positively correlated with the detection factor in the sample.
Background:
CYP21A2 belongs to the Cytochrome P450 family and is essential for the adrenal synthesis of mineralocorticoids and glucocorticoids. Deficiency of this enzyme is associated with certain diseases.
Synonyms:
Cytochrome P450 family 21 subfamily A polypeptide 2; Steroid 21-hydroxylase; 21-OHase; EC 1.14.14.16
