Product Overview
Description:
Human acetyl-CoA carboxylase 2 (ACACB) ELISA kit (1.56-100 ng/mL) is a ready-to-use ELISA kit for analyzing human ACACB levels with a detection range of 1.56-100 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.5 ng/mL. This kit has high sensitivity and excellent specificity.
Assay Principle:
This experiment uses double sandwich ELISA technology. The pre-coated antibody is a monoclonal antibody against human ACACB, and the detection antibody is a biotin-labeled polyclonal antibody. Samples and biotin-labeled antibodies are added to the ELISA plate wells and rinsed with PBS or TBS. Avidin-peroxidase conjugate is then sequentially added to the ELISA wells; the reactants are thoroughly rinsed with PBS or TBS and then colored with TMB substrate. TMB turns blue when catalyzed by the peroxidase enzyme, and finally turns yellow in the presence of acid. The shade of color is positively correlated with the detection factor in the sample.
Background:
ACACB (also called ACC2) is a subunit of ACC. ACC is responsible for catalyzing the carboxylation of acetyl-CoA to malonyl-CoA, which is the rate-limiting step in fatty acid synthesis. ACC2 has been found to play an important role in controlling fatty acid oxidation and is a potential target for the treatment of obesity and related diseases.
Synonyms:
ACC2; Acetyl-coenzyme A carboxylase 2; ACC-beta or Acetyl-CoA carboxylase beta; EC 6.3.4.14
