Product Overview
Description:
Horse plasminogen activator inhibitor-1 (PAI-1) ELISA kit-Quantitative competitive is an ELISA-based in vitro research tool designed specifically for the quantitative detection of PAI-1 in horse samples with a range of 0.313-20 ng/mL and a minimum detectable dose (sensitivity) of 0.188 ng/mL. The kit is highly sensitive and easy to use.
Assay Principle:
This ELISA kit operates on the competitive-ELISA principle. The microtiter plate is pre-coated with PAI1. During the reaction, PAI1 in the sample or standard competes with the immobilized PAI1 on the solid phase for binding sites on the biotinylated detection antibody. After washing away excess conjugates and unbound samples, HRP-streptavidin is added and incubated. A TMB substrate solution is then introduced. The enzymatic reaction is terminated by sulphuric acid, and the absorbance is measured at 450 nm. In this format, the color intensity is inversely proportional to the concentration of PAI1 in the sample.
Background:
As the primary physiological inhibitor of tissue-type plasminogen activator and urokinase-type plasminogen activator, PAI-1 exerts its effects by suppressing fibrinolysis and proteolysis. Its elevation is associated not only with thrombosis and fibrosis but also with obesity and insulin resistance.
Synonyms:
SERPINE1; Endothelial plasminogen activator inhibitor
Applications:
Horse plasminogen activator inhibitor-1 (PAI-1) ELISA kit-Quantitative competitive is used to quantify PAI-1 in serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples of horse, providing data to support research in a wide range of areas, including metabolism, fibrosis, thrombosis, obesity, etc.
