Product Overview
Description:
Mouse carnitine O-palmitoyltransferase 1, muscle isoform (CPT1B) ELISA kit is an ELISA-based in vitro research tool designed specifically for the quantitative detection of CPT1B in mouse.
Assay Principle:
An antibody specific for CPT1B has been pre-coated on a microtiter plate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells, and any CPT1B is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removal of unbound material, a biotin-conjugated antibody specific for CPT1B is added to the wells. After washing, streptavidin-conjugated horseradish peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. After washing to remove unbound avidin-enzyme reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and the color develops in proportion to the amount of CPT1B bound in the first step. The color development is stopped, and the intensity of the color is measured.
Background:
CPT1B is the rate-limiting enzyme in the mitochondrial outer membrane that controls long-chain fatty acid entry for beta-oxidation, primarily in muscle tissue.
Synonyms:
CPT1-M; Carnitine palmitoyltransferase I-like protein
Applications:
Mouse carnitine O-palmitoyltransferase 1, muscle isoform (CPT1B) ELISA kit is an important tool for the quantitative detection of CPT1B in various biological samples (serum, plasma, and other biological fluids) of mice.
