Product Overview

Description: Chicken glypican 4 (GPC4) ELISA kit is an ELISA-based in vitro research tool designed specifically for the quantitative detection of GPC4 in chicken samples with a minimum detectable dose (sensitivity) of 0.1 ng/mL. The kit is highly sensitive and easy to use.
Assay Principle: The GPC4 ELISA kit utilizes a competitive enzyme immunoassay technique featuring a monoclonal anti-GPC4 antibody and a GPC4-HRP conjugate. Samples and assay buffer are incubated with the conjugate in a pre-coated plate for one hour. Endogenous GPC4 and the HRP-conjugate compete for a limited number of antibody binding sites. After incubation, the wells are washed five times. An HRP substrate is then introduced, forming a blue complex that turns yellow upon adding a stop solution. The absorbance is measured at 450 nm. The color intensity is inversely proportional to the GPC4 concentration. A standard curve is plotted to relate the O.D. to standard concentrations for sample interpolation.
Background: GPC4 is a glycoprotein located on the cell membrane that participates in signaling pathways for multiple growth factors. It is implicated in the differentiation and proliferation of adipocytes. GPC4 may be associated with obesity by influencing the development of fat cells.
Synonyms: K-Glypican; Glypican proteoglycan 4; Secreted glypican-4
Applications: Chicken glypican 4 (GPC4) ELISA kit is used to quantify GPC4 in serum, plasma, cell culture supernatants, body fluid, and tissue homogenate of chicken, providing data to support research in a wide range of areas, including signal transduction, obesity, and others.
