Product Overview
Description:
Canine plasminogen activator inhibitor 1 (PAI-1) ELISA kit (15.6-1000 pg/mL) is an ELISA-based in vitro research tool designed specifically for the quantitative detection of PAI in canine samples with a range of 15.6-1000 pg/mL and a minimum detectable dose (sensitivity) of 5 pg/mL. The kit is highly sensitive and easy to use.
Assay Principle:
This assay utilizes a standard double-antibody sandwich ELISA technique. The microplate is pre-coated with a canine PAI monoclonal antibody, while a biotin-labeled polyclonal antibody serves as the detection agent. Samples and biotinylated antibodies are added to the wells and subsequently washed with PBS or TBS. Avidin-peroxidase conjugates are then introduced. Following a thorough wash, TMB substrate is added for coloration; the TMB turns blue through peroxidase catalysis and finally shifts to yellow under acidic conditions. The color depth is positively correlated with the concentration of the target factors in the sample.
Background:
As the primary physiological inhibitor of tissue-type plasminogen activator and urokinase-type plasminogen activator, PAI-1 exerts its effects by suppressing fibrinolysis and proteolysis. Its elevation is associated not only with thrombosis and fibrosis but also with obesity and insulin resistance.
Synonyms:
Endothelial plasminogen activator inhibitor; Serpin E1; PAI1; PAI-1; PLANH1; SERPINE1; Serpin family E member 1
Applications:
Canine plasminogen activator inhibitor 1 (PAI-1) ELISA kit (15.6-1000 pg/mL) is used to quantify PAI-1 in serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, and organizations of canine, providing data to support research in a wide range of areas, including inflammation, obesity, etc.
