Product Overview
Description:
Bovine adiponectin (ADP) ELISA kit (1.25-40 mμg/mL) is a ready-to-use ELISA kit for analyzing bovine ADP levels with a detection range of 1.25-40 mμg/mL and a sensitivity of 0.1 μg/mL.
Assay Principle:
The wells of the plate are coated with purified bovine ADP antibody to form a solid-phase antibody. Then, ADP and HRP-labeled ADP antibody are added to the wells to form an antibody-antigen-antibody-enzyme complex. After a complete-ish, TMB substrate is added and the TMB substrate turns blue when catalyzed by the enzyme HRP. Then the reaction is terminated by the addition of sulfuric acid, followed by spectrophotometric analysis at 450 nm. The concentration of ADP in the sample is then determined by comparing the OD of the sample with the standard curve.
Background:
ADP is an important adipokine involved in the regulation of fat metabolism and insulin sensitivity, exhibiting antidiabetic, anti-atherosclerotic, and anti-inflammatory properties. It increases glucose utilization and fatty acid burning, stimulates AMPK phosphorylation and activation in liver and skeletal muscle, and may play a role in cell growth, angiogenesis, and tissue remodeling.
Synonyms:
ADIPOQ; ACDC; APM1; Adipocyte C1q and collagen domain-containing protein; ACRP30; Adipose most abundant gene transcript 1 protein; apM-1; Gelatin-binding protein; Adiponectin
