Description: AdipoUpX™ Human BBS4 MMLV Particle (Overexpression) is a ready-to-use retroviral vector particle professionally engineered for the stable overexpression of the human BBS4 gene. Facilitating the stable expression of this ciliary transport protein, it allows for in-depth research into its role in recruiting cargo to the BBSome. All viral particle products undergo comprehensive quality control, including titer, sterility, and mycoplasma testing, ensuring experimental reliability and safety in establishing stable cell lines for genetic obesity research.

Handling Notes: Due to their high sensitivity to temperature fluctuations and damaging freeze-thaw cycles, viral particles should be aliquoted into low-protein-binding tubes immediately upon receipt to maintain titer and product integrity. This procedure must be conducted within a biosafety cabinet.

Summary: BBS4 is a member of the BBS gene family. Like BBS2, the BBS4 protein is a core component of the multi-protein BBSome complex, which facilitates crucial intracellular trafficking within the ciliary machinery.
