Description: Rat proprotein convertase subtilisin/kexin type 1 (PCSK1) ELISA kit-Quantitative sandwich is an ELISA-based in vitro research tool designed specifically for the quantitative detection of PCSK1 in rat samples with a range of 3.12-200 ng/mL and a minimum detectable dose (sensitivity) of 1.21 ng/mL. The kit is highly sensitive and easy to use.
Assay Principle: The ELISA analytical biochemical technique is based on PCSK1 antibody-PCSK1 antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect PCSK1 antigen targets in samples.
Background: Proprotein convertase subtilisin/kexin type 1 (PCSK1) is a serine endopeptidase that processes hormone and protein precursors at paired basic amino acid residues. Its substrates include POMC, renin, enkephalin, dynorphin, somatostatin, and insulin. Localized in the Golgi apparatus and secretory vesicles, PCSK1 plays a key role in peptide hormone maturation, proteolysis, and the regulation of insulin secretion.
