Product Overview

Description: Rabbit C-reactive protein (CRP) ELISA kit (0.781-50 pg/mL) is an ELISA-based in vitro research tool designed specifically for the quantitative detection of CRP in rabbits with a range of 0.781-50 pg/mL and a specificity of 0.469 pg/mL.
Assay Principle: The anti-rabbit CRP antibody is pre-coated onto a 96-well plate. The biotin-conjugated anti-rabbit CRP antibody is used as the detection antibody. Subsequently, standards, assay samples, and biotin-conjugated detection antibody are added to the wells and washed with buffer. HRP-streptavidin is added, and the unbound conjugate is washed away with washing solution. TMB substrate is used to observe the HRP enzymatic reaction. TMB produces a blue product catalyzed by HRP, which turns yellow upon addition of an acidic termination solution. The density of the yellow color is proportional to the amount of rabbit CRP sample captured in the plate. The concentration of rabbit CRP can be calculated by reading the absorbance at 450nm with a microplate reader.
Background: CRP is an acute-phase protein of hepatic origin, whose circulating concentrations rise in response to inflammation. It is considered a key plasma protein that can bind to Leptin, and its potential role in regulating leptin's function in obesity is crucial.
Synonyms: Pentraxin-related; pentraxin 1; C-RP; PTX1
Applications: Rabbit C-reactive protein (CRP) ELISA kit (0.781-50 pg/mL) is used to quantify CRP in serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples of rabbit, providing data to support a wide range of studies.
