Product Overview
Description:
Rat intelectin-1 (ITLN1) ELISA kit is an ELISA-based in vitro research tool designed specifically for the quantitative detection of ITLN1 in rat samples. The kit is highly sensitive and easy to use.
Assay Principle:
The ELISA analytical biochemical technique is based on ITLN1 antibody-ITLN1 antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect ITLN1 antigen targets in samples.
Background:
ITLN1 is a secreted protein belonging to the lectin family, primarily secreted by cells within the vascular components of visceral adipose tissue stroma. In healthy individuals, elevated ITLN1 levels contribute to enhanced insulin sensitivity; however, circulating ITLN1 levels are typically markedly reduced in individuals with abdominal obesity and insulin resistance. Consequently, ITLN1 is considered a potential biomarker for assessing metabolic health and the degree of insulin resistance.
Synonyms:
HL1; LFR; HL-1; INTL; ITLN; hIntL; Omentin; Endothelial lectin HL-1; Galactofuranose-binding lectin; Intestinal lactoferrin receptor
Applications:
Rat intelectin-1 (ITLN1) ELISA kit is used to quantify ITLN1 in rat samples, providing data to support research in a wide range of areas, including inflammation, obesity, etc.
