Product Overview

Description: Rat indoleamine-2,3-dioxygenase (IDO) ELISA kit is an ELISA-based in vitro research tool designed specifically for the quantitative detection of IDO in rat samples with a range of 0.156-10 ng/mL and a minimum detectable dose (sensitivity) of 0.053 ng/mL. The kit is highly sensitive and easy to use.
Assay Principle: The ELISA analytical biochemical technique is based on IDO antibody-IDO antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect IDO antigen targets in samples.
Background: IDO is a key rate-limiting enzyme responsible for catalyzing the breakdown of the essential amino acid tryptophan. This degradation process constitutes the first step in the kynurenine pathway. IDO plays a significant role in various physiological and pathological processes, including immune regulation. Given its role in modulating inflammatory responses, it may contribute to the development and progression of obesity.
Synonyms: CD107B; INDO; Indoleamine-pyrrole 2,3 dioxygenase
Applications: Rat indoleamine-2,3-dioxygenase (IDO) ELISA kit is used to quantify IDO in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, and other biological fluids of rats, providing data to support research in a wide range of areas, including enzyme & kinase, infection immunity, obesity, and others.
Research Area: Enzyme & kinase; Infection immunity; Obesity
