Product Overview

Description: Porcine adiponectin (ADP) ELISA kit (3.12-200 ng/mL) is a ready-to-use ELISA kit for analyzing porcine ADP levels with a detection range of 3.12-200 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 1.14 ng/mL.
Assay Principle: The microtiter plates provided in this kit are pre-coated with an ADP-specific antibody. Standards or samples are then added to the appropriate microtiter wells, followed by biotin-conjugated ADP-specific antibodies. Then, HRP-conjugated avidin is added to each microtiter well and incubated. Upon addition of TMB substrate solution, only the wells containing ADP, biotin-conjugated antibody, and enzyme-conjugated avidin will show a color change. The addition of sulfuric acid solution terminates the enzyme-substrate reaction, and the color change is then measured spectrophotometrically at 450 nm ± 10 nm. The concentration of ADP in the sample can then be determined by comparing the OD of the sample to a standard curve.
Background: ADP is an important adipokine involved in the regulation of fat metabolism and insulin sensitivity, exhibiting antidiabetic, anti-atherosclerotic, and anti-inflammatory properties. It increases glucose utilization and fatty acid burning, stimulates AMPK phosphorylation and activation in liver and skeletal muscle, and may play a role in cell growth, angiogenesis, and tissue remodeling.
Synonyms: ADIPOQ; ACDC; APM1; Adipocyte C1q and collagen domain-containing protein; ACRP30; Adipose most abundant gene transcript 1 protein; apM-1; Gelatin-binding protein; Adiponectin
Applications: Porcine adiponectin (ADP) ELISA kit (3.12-200 ng/mL) is designed for the in vitro quantitative analysis of ADP levels in porcine serum, plasma, and other biological fluid samples.
Research Area: Hormone research; Lipid metabolism; Cell differentiation; Obesity
