Description: Pig cytochrome c oxidase subunit 7C (COX7C) ELISA kit is an ELISA-based in vitro research tool designed specifically for the quantitative detection of COX7C in pig. The kit is highly specific, sensitive, and easy to use.

Assay Principle: An antibody specific for COX7C has been pre-coated on a microtiter plate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells, and any COX7C is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removal of unbound material, a biotin-conjugated antibody specific for COX7C is added to the wells. After washing, streptavidin-conjugated horseradish peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. After washing to remove unbound avidin-enzyme reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells, and the color is then developed proportionally to the amount of COX7C bound in the first step. The color development is stopped, and the intensity of the color is measured.

Background: COX7C is one of the nuclear-coded polypeptide chains of cytochrome c oxidase, the terminal oxidase in mitochondrial electron transport.
