Product Overview
Description:
Pig adipocyte fatty acid binding protein 4 (FABP4) ELISA kit is an ELISA-based in vitro research tool designed specifically for the quantitative detection of FABP4 in pig. The kit is highly specific, sensitive, and easy to use.
Assay Principle:
Pre-coat the microtiter plate with an antibody specific for FABP4. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and any FABP4 will be bound by the immobilized antibody. After removing unbound material, a biotin-conjugated antibody specific for FABP4 is added to the wells. After washing, streptavidin-conjugated horseradish peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. After washing to remove unbound avidin-enzyme reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells, and the color is developed proportionally to the amount of FABP4 bound in the first step. The color development is stopped, and the intensity of the color is measured.
Background:
FABP4 is an intracellular protein highly expressed in adipocytes and macrophages, responsible for binding and transporting fatty acids within these cells.
Synonyms:
Fatty acid binding protein 4, Adipocyte; A-FABP; AFABP; AP2; Adipocyte protein 2
