Description:
Mouse prothrombin fragment 1 + 2 (F1 + 2) ELISA kit (1.56-100 ng/mL) is an ELISA-based in vitro research tool designed specifically for the quantitative detection of F1 + 2 in mouse with a range of 1.56-100 ng/mL and a specificity of up to 0.5 ng/mL.
Assay Principle:
The pre-coated antibody is anti-mouse F1+2 monoclonal antibody, and the detection antibody is biotinylated polyclonal antibody. The samples and biotinylated antibodies are added to the ELISA plate wells separately and then washed with PBS or TBS. Avidin-peroxidase conjugate is then added to the wells sequentially. The enzyme conjugate is thoroughly washed with PBS or TBS and then colored with TMB substrate, which reacts with peroxidase activity to produce a blue product that finally turns yellow upon addition of the termination solution. The intensity of the color correlates positively with the amount of the target analyte in the sample.
Background:
Thrombin converts fibrinogen to fibrin and activates factors V, VII, VIII, XIII, and, in complex with thrombomodulin, protein C. Research indicates that obesity is associated with disturbances in coagulation balance, leading to a pro-coagulant and hypofibrinolytic state. Analysis of F1 + 2 levels is of certain significance.
