Product Overview
Description:
Mouse platelet glycoprotein 4 (CD36) ELISA kit is an ELISA-based in vitro research tool designed specifically for the quantitative detection of CD36 in mouse with highly specificity.
Assay Principle:
An antibody specific for CD36 has been pre-coated onto the microtiter plate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells, and any CD36 will be bound by the immobilized antibody. After removing unbound material, a biotin-conjugated antibody specific for CD36 is added to the wells. After washing, avidin-conjugated horseradish peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. After washing to remove unbound avidin-enzyme reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells, and the color develops in proportion to the amount of CD36 bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped, and the intensity of the color is measured.
Background:
CD36 is a multi-functional cell surface receptor that binds a variety of ligands, including long-chain fatty acids and oxidized LDL, and is involved in fatty acid uptake, lipid metabolism, and immune responses.
Synonyms:
GP3B; GP4; Fatty acid translocase; FAT; Glycoprotein IIIb; GPIIIB; Leukocyte differentiation antigen CD36; PAS IV; PAS-4; Platelet collagen receptor; Platelet glycoprotein IV; GPIV; Thrombospondin receptor
