Product Overview
Description:
Mouse lipopolysaccharide binding protein (LBP) ELISA kit (0.78-50 ng/mL) is an ELISA-based in vitro research tool designed specifically for the quantitative detection of LBP in mice samples with a range of 0.78-50 ng/mL and a minimum detectable dose (sensitivity) of <0.41 ng/mL. The kit is highly sensitive and easy to use.
Assay Principle:
The microtiter plate provided in this kit is pre-coated with an antibody specific to the target antigen. Standards or samples are added to the wells with a biotin-conjugated detection antibody, followed by the addition of avidin-conjugated HRP. After incubation and a TMB substrate step, only wells containing the target complex will exhibit a color change. The reaction is terminated with a sulphuric acid solution, and the absorbance is measured at 450 nm ± 2 nm. The target concentration is determined by comparing the sample O.D. to the standard curve.
Background:
LBP is a secreted protein primarily present in the extracellular space. Its core function is to bind bacterial lipopolysaccharide (LPS), a glycolipid found on the outer membrane of all Gram-negative bacteria. LBP is significant in obesity research because it plays a pivotal role in the link between inflammation, gut microbiota, and metabolic health. By studying LBP's mechanisms of action and its level changes, scientists can better understand how obesity leads to systemic inflammation and insulin resistance, potentially developing therapies targeting LBP or its associated signaling pathways.
Synonyms:
LPS-binding protein
Applications:
Mouse lipopolysaccharide binding protein (LBP) ELISA kit (0.78-50 ng/mL) is used to quantify LBP in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatant, and other biological fluids of mouse, providing data to support research in a wide range of areas, including Infection immunity, obesity, etc.
