Description:
Mouse insulin like protein 3 (INSL3) ELISA kit-Quantitative sandwich is an ELISA-based in vitro research tool designed specifically for the quantitative detection of INSL3 in mice samples with a range of 0.25-8 ng/mL and a minimum detectable dose (sensitivity) of 0.1 ng/mL. The kit is highly sensitive and easy to use.
Assay Principle:
This assay employs a solid-phase direct sandwich ELISA format. Purified mouse INSL3 antibodies are pre-immobilized onto microelisa strip plate wells to create a solid-phase environment. Upon the addition of standards or samples containing INSL3, along with an HRP-labeled INSL3 antibody, the reactants form a stable antibody-antigen-antibody-enzyme complex. After a thorough washing step to remove any unbound reagents, a TMB substrate solution is introduced. The substrate shifts to a blue color via HRP-catalyzed oxidation. The reaction is subsequently halted by the addition of a sulphuric acid stop solution, and the color shift is measured spectrophotometrically at 450 nm. The final concentration of INSL3 in the samples is determined by mapping the optical density (O.D.) against the established standard curve.
Background:
INSL3 is a hormone belonging to the insulin family. Although structurally similar to insulin, it functions quite differently. INSL3 primarily exerts its effects by binding to its specific receptor, RXFP2. It may play a role in metabolic regulation and is considered a marker of reproductive health for studying the impact of obesity on reproductive health.
