Product Overview
Description:
Canine ghrelin (GHRL) ELISA kit (31.2-2000 pg/mL) is an ELISA-based in vitro research tool designed specifically for the quantitative detection of GHRL in canine samples with a range of 31.2-2000 pg/mL and a minimum detectable dose (sensitivity) of 12 pg/mL. The kit is highly sensitive and easy to use.
Assay Principle:
The ELISA analytical biochemical technique is based on GHRL antibody-GHRL antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect GHRL antigen targets in samples.
Background:
Ghrelin is a peptide hormone primarily secreted by the stomach, exerting its effects by binding to the growth hormone secretagogue receptor type 1 (GHSR). It plays multiple roles in the body, but its most well-known function is regulating energy balance and appetite. Research indicates that ghrelin levels and their regulation of appetite may be abnormal in obese individuals. It is considered a key target for developing anti-obesity drugs.
Synonyms:
MTLRP; Preproghrelin; Growth hormone secretagogue receptor ligand; Appetite-regulating hormone; Growth hormone-releasing peptide; Motilin-related peptide
Applications:
Canine ghrelin (GHRL) ELISA kit (31.2-2000 pg/mL) is used to quantify GHRL in canine serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, and organizations of canine, providing data to support research in a wide range of areas, including signal transduction, endocrinology, gastroenterology, metabolism, obesity, and others.
