Product Overview

Description: Mouse insulin-like growth factor 2 (IGF-2) ELISA kit (62.5-4000 pg/mL) is an ELISA-based in vitro research tool designed specifically for the quantitative detection of IGF-2 in mouse samples with a range of 62.5-4000 pg/mL and a minimum detectable dose (sensitivity) of 31.27 pg/mL. The kit is highly sensitive and easy to use.
Assay Principle: The microtiter plate provided in this kit is pre-coated with an antibody specific to IGF-2. Standards or samples are added to the wells along with a biotin-conjugated polyclonal antibody and avidin-HRP. After incubation and the addition of TMB substrate, color development occurs only in wells containing the target complex. The reaction is terminated with sulphuric acid and measured spectrophotometrically at 450 nm ± 2 nm. The concentration of IGF-2 in the samples is determined by comparing the O.D. values to the standard curve.
Background: IGF-2 is a crucial growth factor with significant pro-growth activity, acting as an effective mitogen in vitro. Influenced by placental lactogen, it plays a pivotal role in fetal development. Furthermore, its metabolic function involves differentiating adipocytes and influencing glucose uptake. Research indicates that IGF-2 dysfunction may lead to metabolic abnormalities, manifesting in pathological features such as obesity and metabolic syndrome.
Synonyms: IGF2; Insulin like growth factor 2; INSIGF; IGF-II; Somatomedin A; Preptin; Insulin-like growth factor II Ala-25 Del
Applications: Mouse insulin-like growth factor 2 (IGF-2) ELISA kit (62.5-4000 pg/mL) is used to quantify IGF-2 in mouse samples, providing data to support research in a wide range of areas, including tumor immunity, endocrinology, metabolism, obesity, and others.
Research Area: Tumor immunity; Endocrinology; Metabolism; Obesity
