Product Overview

Description: LipoKnoxa™ Human SREBF1 shRNA AAV Particle (Silencing) targets SREBP-1, the master transcriptional activator of fatty acid and triglyceride synthesis. Engineered with both high-potency U6 and physiologically refined miR30-based shRNA, this tool allows researchers to model hepatic steatosis and lipogenesis. Multiple AAV serotypes are available to ensure precise delivery. To ensure experimental success, every batch undergoes total quality control screening for sequence accuracy and functional titer.

Summary: SREBF1 is a transcription factor that controls the expression of genes required for cholesterol and fatty acid synthesis. Initially anchored to the endoplasmic reticulum, the protein is cleaved and moves to the nucleus when sterol levels are low.
