Product Overview

Description: LipoKnoxa™ Human AKT2 shRNA AAV Particle (Silencing) targets the primary AKT isoform involved in insulin-regulated glucose metabolism. By utilizing optimized U6 and miR30-based shRNA delivery, this tool assists in uncovering the mechanisms of insulin resistance in muscle and fat. Multiple AAV serotypes (AAV1, AAV8, AAV9, etc.) are provided for tissue-specific tropism, supported by total quality control screening for functional titer, sequence integrity, and sterility.

Handling Notes: To prevent titer loss caused by repeated freeze-thaw cycles, we recommend aliquoting the virus into single-use volumes upon receipt. Summary: AKT2 is an essential signaling kinase that mediates the vast majority of insulin's metabolic effects. Once activated by the PI3K pathway, AKT2 regulates glucose transport, particularly by promoting the movement of GLUT4 to the cell membrane.
