Product Overview
Description:
Human urocortin 2 (UCN2) high sensitive ELISA kit (78-5000 pg/mL) is an ELISA-based in vitro research tool designed specifically for the quantitative detection of UCN2 in human samples with a range of 78-5000 pg/mL and a minimum detectable dose (sensitivity) of 33 pg/mL. The kit is highly sensitive and easy to use.
Assay Principle:
This kit utilizes the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique. The provided microtiter plate is pre-immobilized with an antibody specific to UCN2. Standards or samples are introduced into the designated wells along with a biotin-conjugated detection antibody specific for UCN2. Subsequently, avidin-conjugated HRP is added to each microplate well and incubated. Upon the addition of TMB substrate solution, color development occurs exclusively in those wells containing the UCN2 sandwich complex (antigen, biotinylated antibody, and enzyme-conjugated avidin). The enzymatic reaction is terminated with a sulphuric acid solution, and the color change is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm ± 10 nm. The concentration of UCN2 in the samples is then determined by comparing the optical density (O.D.) of the samples to the standard curve.
Background:
Urocortin 2 (UCN2) is a secreted peptide of the sauvagine/corticotropin-releasing factor/urotensin I family that binds corticotropin-releasing hormone receptor 2 and other G-protein-coupled receptors. UCN2 regulates physiological processes such as food intake, gastric motility, cAMP signaling, and cellular responses to nutrient levels and stress.
Synonyms:
URP; SRP; UCN-II; UCNII; Stresscopin-related peptide; Urocortin-related peptide
Applications:
Human urocortin 2 (UCN2) high sensitive ELISA kit (78-5000 pg/mL) is used to quantify UCN2 in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernatants, and other biological fluids of humans, providing data to support research in a wide range of areas, including endocrinology, obesity, and others.
