Product Overview
Description:
Human nuclear receptor subfamily 0 group B member 2 (NR0B2) ELISA kit is an ELISA-based in vitro research tool designed specifically for the quantitative detection of NR0B2 in human samples. The kit is highly sensitive and easy to use.
Assay Principle:
The ELISA analytical biochemical technique is based on NR0B2 antibody-NR0B2 antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect NR0B2 antigen targets in samples.
Background:
NR0B2 (also known as SHP) is an orphan nuclear receptor lacking a DNA-binding domain that inhibits the transcriptional activity of other nuclear receptors by binding to them. NR0B2's association with obesity stems from its broad inhibitory effects on glucose, lipid, and bile acid metabolism: SHP suppresses the expression of key metabolic genes, such as those involved in gluconeogenesis and fatty acid synthesis. In obesity and insulin resistance models, SHP activity serves as a pivotal regulator of hepatic glucose and lipid metabolic flux.
Synonyms:
SHP; SHP1; Orphan nuclear receptor SHP; Small heterodimer partner
Applications:
Human nuclear receptor subfamily 0 group B member 2 (NR0B2) ELISA kit is used to quantify NR0B2 in human samples, providing data to support research in a wide range of areas, including metabolism, obesity, etc.
