Description:
Human interleukin 6 (IL-6) ELISA kit (7.8-500 pg/mL) is an ELISA-based in vitro research tool designed specifically for the quantitative detection of IL-6 in human samples with a range of 7.8-500 pg/mL and a minimum detectable dose (sensitivity) of 2.9 pg/mL. The kit is highly sensitive and easy to use.
Assay Principle:
The provided microtiter plate is pre-coated with a capture antibody specific to IL-6. Standards or samples are introduced into the designated wells, followed by the addition of a biotin-labeled detection antibody specific to IL-6. Subsequently, avidin-conjugated HRP is added to each well and incubated. Upon the addition of TMB substrate, color development occurs exclusively in wells containing the IL-6 complex. The enzymatic reaction is halted by a sulphuric acid solution, and the absorbance is recorded spectrophotometrically at 450 nm ± 10 nm. The concentration of IL-6 in the specimens is calculated by comparing the sample O.D. to the established standard curve.
