Description: Human interleukin 6 (IL-6) ELISA kit (1.56-100 pg/mL) is an ELISA-based in vitro research tool designed specifically for the quantitative detection of IL-6 in human samples with a range of 1.56-100 pg/mL and a minimum detectable dose (sensitivity) of 0.94 pg/mL. The kit is highly sensitive and easy to use.

Assay Principle: The micro ELISA plate in this kit is pre-coated with an antibody specific to human IL-6. Samples or standards are added to the wells to bind with the specific capture antibody. Subsequently, a biotinylated detection antibody for human IL-6 and an avidin-HRP conjugate are added sequentially and incubated. After washing away free components, a substrate solution is introduced. Only wells containing the human IL-6 complex will appear blue and then turn yellow after the stop solution is added. The optical density (O.D.), measured at 450 ± 2 nm, is proportional to the concentration of human IL-6, which is then calculated using the standard curve.
