Product Overview
Description:
Human hydroxyacyl-coenzyme A dehydrogenase, mitochondrial (HADH) ELISA kit (0.156-10 ng/mL, 0.059 ng/mL) is an ELISA-based in vitro research tool designed specifically for the quantitative detection of HADH in human samples with a range of 0.156-10 ng/mL and a minimum detectable dose (sensitivity) of 0.059 ng/mL. The kit is highly sensitive and easy to use.
Assay Principle:
This kit applies the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique. The microtiter plate is pre-coated with an antibody specific to HADH. Standards or samples are added to the wells along with a biotin-conjugated detection antibody. Subsequently, avidin-HRP is introduced and incubated. Upon adding TMB substrate, a color change occurs only in wells containing the HADH sandwich complex. The reaction is terminated with sulphuric acid and measured spectrophotometrically at 450 nm ± 10 nm. The concentration of HADH in the samples is determined by comparing the O.D. values to the established standard curve.
Background:
HADH is a crucial redox enzyme in mitochondria that plays a central role in fatty acid β-oxidation. This enzyme is primarily responsible for the breakdown of short-chain fatty acids, and its abnormal activity can lead to various metabolic disorders. Given its function in fatty acid β-oxidation, HADH may also play a role in obesity.
Synonyms:
Hydroxyacyl-CoA dehydrogenase; SCHAD; HADHSC; HADH1; Medium and short-chain L-3-hydroxyacyl-coenzyme A dehydrogenase; EC 1.1.1.35; L-3-Hydroxyacyl-coenzyme A dehydrogenase, short chain; Short-chain 3-hydroxyacyl-CoA dehydrogenase; HCDH; HAD1; HAD; EC 1.1.1.35
EC NO.:
1.1.1.35
Applications:
Human hydroxyacyl-coenzyme A dehydrogenase, mitochondrial (HADH) ELISA kit (0.156-10 ng/mL, 0.059 ng/mL) is used to quantify HADH in tissue homogenates, cell lysates, and other biological fluids of human, providing data to support research in a wide range of areas, including enzyme & kinase, metabolism, obesity, and others.
