Product Overview
Description:
Rabbit plasminogen activator inhibitor-1 (PAI-1) ELISA kit is an ELISA-based in vitro research tool designed specifically for the quantitative detection of PAI-1 in rabbit samples. The kit is highly sensitive and easy to use.
Assay Principle:
It is vital to use platelet-free plasma to avoid the release of cellular PAI-1. Captured by the antibodies on the microtiter plate, the assay detects free, latent, and complexed forms of rabbit PAI-1. After washing, an anti-rabbit PAI-1 primary antibody binds to the captured enzyme. Following the removal of excess reagents, a secondary antibody conjugated to HRP is introduced. TMB substrate is then used for color development, measured at 450 nm, where the intensity is proportional to the PAI-1 concentration based on a purified PAI-1 standard curve.
Background:
As the primary physiological inhibitor of tissue-type plasminogen activator and urokinase-type plasminogen activator, PAI-1 exerts its effects by suppressing fibrinolysis and proteolysis. Its elevation is associated not only with thrombosis and fibrosis but also with obesity and insulin resistance.
Synonyms:
SERPINE1; Endothelial plasminogen activator inhibitor
Applications:
Rabbit plasminogen activator inhibitor-1 (PAI-1) ELISA kit is used to quantify PAI-1 in rabbit samples, providing data to support research in a wide range of areas, including metabolism, fibrosis, thrombosis, obesity, etc.
