Product Overview

Description: Human glucagon-like peptide 2 (GLP-2) ELISA kit (0.156-10 ng/mL) is an ELISA-based in vitro research tool designed specifically for the quantitative detection of GLP-2 in human samples with a range of 0.156-10 ng/mL and a minimum detectable dose (sensitivity) of 0.05 ng/mL. The kit is highly sensitive and easy to use.
Assay Principle: This kit employs a double-sandwich ELISA technique using a human GLP-2 monoclonal antibody for pre-coating and a biotin-labeled polyclonal antibody for detection. Samples and the detection antibody are incubated in the wells and washed with PBS or TBS. Avidin-peroxidase conjugates are then added. Following a final wash, TMB substrate is used for coloring. The solution turns blue and finally yellow after acidification. The color depth is positively correlated with the level of human GLP-2 in the specimen.
Background: GLP-2, as an incretin, primarily functions to promote intestinal growth and nutrient absorption. Recent studies have revealed that GLP-2's association with obesity primarily manifests through its regulatory effects on intestinal barrier function and the gut microbiome. By improving gut health, GLP-2 may indirectly influence metabolism. Furthermore, ongoing research is exploring the potential applications of GLP-2 and its analogues in regulating fat metabolism and energy expenditure, offering new avenues for obesity treatment.
Synonyms: Glp2; GLP2
Applications: Human glucagon-like peptide 2 (GLP-2) ELISA kit (0.156-10 ng/mL) is used to quantify GLP-2 in human serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, and organizations of human, providing data to support research in a wide range of areas, including metabolism, endocrinology, cardiovascular biology, obesity, and others.
