Product Overview
Description:
Human agouti-related protein (AGRP) ELISA kit (78.125-5000 pg/mL) is a ready-to-use ELISA kit for analyzing human AGRP levels with a detection range of 78.125-5000 pg/mL and a sensitivity of 27 pg/mL.
Assay Principle:
The kit is based on AGRP antibody-AGRP antigen interaction (immunosorbent) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect AGRP antigen targets in samples.
Background:
AGRP plays a role in body weight homeostasis, is involved in the control of eating behavior through the central melanocortin system, and acts as an inverse agonist of MC3R and MC4R, thereby inhibiting their constitutive activity. Genetic variants in AGRP may be responsible for obesity.
Synonyms:
Agouti-related peptide; ASIP2
Applications:
Human agouti-related protein (AGRP) ELISA kit (78.125-5000 pg/mL) is designed for the in vitro quantitative analysis of AGRP levels in human serum, plasma, and other biological fluid samples.
Research Area:
Hormone research; Eating behavior; Signaling pathway; Obesity
