Product Overview
Description:
Human acetyl-CoA carboxylase (ACAC) ELISA kit (1.563-100 ng/mL, 0.94 ng/mL) is a ready-to-use ELISA kit for analyzing human ACAC levels with a detection range of 1.563-100 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.94 ng/mL.
Assay Principle:
This ELISA kit utilizes the sandwich-ELISA method. The microtiter ELISA plates provided in the kit are pre-coated with antibodies specific to ACAC. Standards or samples are added to the corresponding wells of the ELISA plate and bound to the specific antibody. A biotinylated detection antibody specific for ACAC and avidin-HRP conjugate are then added sequentially to each microplate well and incubated. Free components are washed away, and substrate solution is added to each well. Only wells containing ACAC, biotinylated detection antibody, and avidin-HRP conjugate will appear blue. Upon addition of sulfuric acid solution, the enzyme-substrate reaction terminates, and the color changes to yellow. Optical density (OD) is measured spectrophotometrically at 450 nm ± 2 nm. The concentration of ACAC in the sample is calculated by comparing the OD value of the sample with the standard curve.
Background:
ACAC (also known as ACC) is the enzyme that catalyzes the carboxylation of acetyl coenzyme A to produce malonyl coenzyme A, which is involved in fatty acid biosynthesis and β-oxidation. It is a potential target for the treatment of obesity and related diseases.

ACC; EC 6.4.1.2
