Description: Horse insulin-like growth factor 2 (IGF-2) ELISA kit is an ELISA-based in vitro research tool designed specifically for the quantitative detection of IGF-2 in horse samples. The kit is highly sensitive and easy to use.

Assay Principle: This assay utilizes a two-site sandwich ELISA to quantify IGF-2. A specific capture antibody is pre-coated onto the microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells for IGF-2 capture. Following a wash, a biotin-conjugated antibody and streptavidin-HRP are added sequentially. After a final wash to remove unbound reagents, a substrate solution is introduced. Color develops in proportion to the amount of IGF-2 bound in the initial step. The reaction is stopped, and the final color intensity is measured to determine the sample concentration.

Influenced by placental lactogen, it plays a pivotal role in fetal development. Furthermore, its metabolic function involves differentiating adipocytes and influencing glucose uptake.
