Description:
Hamster interleukin 6 (IL-6) ELISA kit (7.8-500 pg/mL) is an ELISA-based in vitro research tool designed specifically for the quantitative detection of IL-6 in hamster samples with a range of 7.8-500 pg/mL and a minimum detectable dose (sensitivity) of 3.9 pg/mL. The kit is highly sensitive and easy to use.
Assay Principle:
This kit employs a two-site sandwich ELISA for the quantification of hamster IL-6 in serum and plasma. A microplate is pre-immobilized with a capture antibody specific for IL-6. Standards and samples are added to the wells, allowing the fixed antibody to capture any IL-6 present. After a wash step to remove unbound material, a biotin-conjugated detection antibody for IL-6 is introduced. Following another wash, streptavidin-conjugated HRP is added. After a final wash to clear unbound reagents, a substrate solution is introduced; color develops in direct proportion to the amount of IL-6 initially bound. The reaction is then stopped for measurement.
