Description:
Bovine leptin (LEP) ELISA kit (0.156-10 ng/mL) is an ELISA-based in vitro research tool designed specifically for the quantitative detection of LEP in porcine samples with a range of 0.156-10 ng/mL and a minimum detectable dose (sensitivity) of 0.060 ng/mL. The kit is highly sensitive and easy to use.
Assay Principle:
The test principle applied in this kit is a sandwich enzyme immunoassay. The microtiter plate provided has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to LEP. Standards or samples are added to the appropriate wells along with a biotin-conjugated antibody specific to LEP. Subsequently, avidin conjugated to HRP is added to each well and incubated to form an immune complex. Following the addition of TMB substrate solution, a colorimetric change occurs only in wells containing the LEP-antibody-avidin complex. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of a sulphuric acid solution, and the resulting color change is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm ± 10 nm. The concentration of LEP in the samples is then determined by comparing the optical density (O.D.) of the samples to a generated standard curve.
