Product Overview
Description:
Donkey hydroxyacyl coenzyme A dehydrogenase beta (HADHb) ELISA kit is an ELISA-based in vitro research tool designed specifically for the quantitative detection of HADHb in donkey samples. The kit is highly sensitive and easy to use.
Assay Principle:
The ELISA analytical biochemical technique is based on HADHb antibody-HADHb antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect HADHb antigen targets in samples.
Background:
HADHB plays an essential role in the mitochondrial beta- oxidation of short chain fatty acids. Exerts it highest activity toward 3-hydroxybutyryl-CoA. Defects in HADH are the cause of 3-alpha-hydroxyacyl-CoA dehydrogenase deficiency (HADH deficiency). Based on its regulatory role in fatty acid metabolism, it plays a certain role in obesity.
Synonyms:
MTPB; Mitochondrial trifunctional protein, beta subunit; 3-Ketoacyl-coenzyme A thiolase/enoyl-coenzyme A hydratase (trifunctional protein) beta subunit; Beta-ketothiolase; HADHB; Trifunctional enzyme subunit beta, mitochondrial; TP-beta; MSTP029; EC 2.3.1.155; EC 2.3.1.16
EC NO.:
2.3.1.155; 2.3.1.16
Applications:
Donkey hydroxyacyl coenzyme A dehydrogenase beta (HADHb) ELISA kit is used to quantify HADHb in donkey samples, providing data to support research in a wide range of areas, including enzyme & kinase, metabolism, obesity, and others.
