Product Overview

Description: Bovine mitochondrial carrier homolog 2 (MTCH2) ELISA kit is an ELISA-based in vitro research tool designed specifically for the quantitative detection of MTCH2 in porcine samples. The kit is highly sensitive and easy to use.
Assay Principle: The MTCH2ISA analytical biochemical technique is based on MTCH2 antibody-MTCH2 antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect MTCH2 antigen targets in samples.
Background: MTCH2 is a mitochondrial inner membrane protein belonging to the mitochondrial carrier family, involved in transmembrane substance transport. The association of MTCH2 with obesity stems from its dual roles in apoptosis and metabolic regulation: it has been found to modulate Bcl-2 family proteins, thereby influencing apoptosis; more significantly, MTCH2 genetic variants or expression levels correlate with body weight and insulin resistance, potentially affecting systemic energy homeostasis by influencing mitochondrial uptake of metabolic substrates or participating in energy expenditure regulation.
Synonyms: Met-induced mitochondrial protein; MIMP
Applications: Bovine mitochondrial carrier homolog 2 (MTCH2) ELISA kit is used to quantify MTCH2 in bovine samples, providing data to support research in a wide range of areas, including mitochondrial function, metabolism, etc.
Research Area: Mitochondrial function; Metabolism
