Description: Bovine insulin (INS) ELISA kit (0.156-10 ng/mL) is an ELISA-based in vitro research tool designed specifically for the quantitative detection of INS in porcine samples with a range of 0.156-10 ng/mL and a minimum detectable dose (sensitivity) of <0.061 ng/mL. The kit is highly sensitive and easy to use.
Assay Principle: This kit utilizes a sandwich enzyme immunoassay where a microtiter plate is pre-coated with an antibody specific to INS. Samples or standards are added along with a biotin-conjugated detection antibody and Avidin-HRP to form an immune complex. Following the addition of TMB substrate, a colorimetric change occurs that is terminated by sulphuric acid; the resulting optical density (O.D.) at 450nm is used to determine the INS concentration via a standard curve.

Its primary role is to lower blood glucose levels by promoting glucose uptake into cells.
