Description: Bovine ghrelin (GHRL) ELISA kit (3.125-200 pg/mL) is an ELISA-based in vitro research tool designed specifically for the quantitative detection of GHRL in bovine samples with a range of 3.125-200 pg/mL and a minimum detectable dose (sensitivity) of 1.875 pg/mL. The kit is highly sensitive and easy to use.
Assay Principle: The ELISA analytical biochemical technique is based on GHRL antibody-GHRL antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect GHRL antigen targets in samples.
Background: Ghrelin is a peptide hormone primarily secreted by the stomach, exerting its effects by binding to the growth hormone secretagogue receptor type 1 (GHSR). It plays multiple roles in the body, but its most well-known function is regulating energy balance and appetite. Research indicates that ghrelin levels and their regulation of appetite may be abnormal in obese individuals. It is considered a key target for developing anti-obesity drugs.
